DEDICATED TO SENDING COMFORT TO SICK CHILDREN AND TEENS IN THE HOSPITAL

Everyone knows that having to stay in the hospital is never any fun, but for thousand of children and teens there is no choice. Some are there for an illness that there is no known cure for or if there is a cure, it's sometimes worse than the illness itself. Some are there for other reasons, surgeries, a cold, and many other reasons. It really doesn't matter why these children are in the hospital, we all know that having to stay in bed for long periods of time isn't enjoyable. Now while we can't keep them from having to stay in the hospital, maybe we can make that stay a little more fun.

Pages for Children, Inc. sends various kinds of books, birthday cards and appropriate holiday cards (each with a personal message inside) and other items to sick children and teens while they are in the hospital, not only to give them something to do but to let them know that they are being thought about and that they are loved. As we grow, we will be adding more hospitals to our mailing list. Soon, we should be sending books and cards all across the United States.

The children and teens that Pages for Children, Inc. help, need all the special attention they can get. Most of them may never get well. And while this program will not improve their overall health, it may just bring a smile to their faces. They need to know that they are loved and that they are NOT alone! We're hoping you will help us send this very important message to them.

I just found out that this site has won 2 different awards from a place called JustFolk's. I was so honored to receive them and had to share this wonderful news with you. I'm going to find a better place to post the awards tomorrow, but for now I just had to get them on here.
